Seasons Change~ Spice up Life

Hello friends and welcome to the new blog! I’m excited to see where this new chapter takes us.

Now, it’s officially September which, to me, means it’s basically FALL 🍁🎃and

I LOVE FALL. The weather is cozy, the clothes are warm, and the coffee is delicious. Fall is my favorite season, most likely because of the sense of home and nostalgia that it brings. When my mom cracks out the decorations for fall (which happened as soon as I left for college in August this year) my mind gives itself a mental hug. The leaves start changing, the weather get crisper, and my soul is renewed.

You see, to me, when fall starts it’s signifies a new beginning and a season of growth. Everyone always talks about these ‘seasons’ of change. There is time for growth and development, and time for waiting. Each fall I feel renewed, spiritually and mentally. When you are in school there is a definitive sense of newness and excitement when you get off of the bus or out of the car to head to your first day of a new grade. It’s a new chapter and a new start. You know that there will be growth, but also times of chaos and confusion. I have found this especially true this year.

As many of you know, I have officially started college (yay). I feel more independent than I ever have. I have to make every decision about my life and be proactive about getting what I want. In a sense, it is nice to feel this independence, to feel like an adult. But, it has also taught me how to appreciate my family. They are the backbone of everything that I do, and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so grateful for every single person who has encouraged me and lifted me up. This is another reason I love fall. It is a time for reflection and thankfulness.

So, as this new season and chapter starts, I challenge YOU to think about what kind of season you are in. Are you waiting patiently for God to do something in your life? Are you waiting impatiently? Do you feel stuck? Or are you having the time of your life?

There are many different seasons that you could be in, so I challenge you to truly think about where God has you right now. After you figure it out, reflect about what you can do to thank Him for where you are. The good thing about God is that he meets you where you are, if you’re stuck, he will meet you in the middle. If you’re tired, he will give you a place to rest your head. And if you’re happy and having the time of your life, he will show you how to use your happiness to benefit other people. Remember to be patient with yourself and with God. Even if you don’t like where you are right now, there is something to be learned during every season. Really take a minute and thank God for where he has placed you right now. Life is all about these seasons, and hopefully we can navigate them together. I can’t wait to start this new chapter with y’all!

Thanks for reading 💗

XOXO

Ali
